A few Japanese Nightingales were strapped into wing-covering jackets made out of gold-coloured silk. They were left on the Central Railway Station Amsterdam, platform 1, to hop around between the passengers, pigeons and other birds around. After that the Nightingales were released again from their straightjackets.
Central Station Amsterdam is in some ways a gate to the rest of the world. Lots of people start or end their journeys there to different destinations. I always envy the birds that fly around there and that somehow seem to have the most freedom of everybody who is at the station.
